Ground thermography

Ges Service supplies performing thermal vision services as part of the preventive or corrective maintenance works of the electrical installations and equipment.

Thermal vision – infrared thermography – is a modern high performance, non contact defectoscopy technique, that allows detecting the thermal anomalies in the electrical installations with the help of the thermal vision camera.

The main advantage of the thermographic inspection is that the electrical installations or equipment must not be interrupted from functioning what allows us investigate voltage-operated as well as in non accessible places.

The thermographic inspection consists in the thermal scanning of the object inspected. The camera measures the wavelength of the radiation of the infrared spectrum released by the object, estimates rapidly and precisely its temperature and generates color thermograms.

Following the interpretation of thermograms, the specialized technician certified in thermal vision issues the inspection reports in hard or soft copy.

Using thermography as a diagnosis technique, our specialists detect the risk areas in the installations, the presence of some compromised connections: clamps, terminals, imperfect internal or external pins, overloads of some circuits, unbalance on the three phases, internal defects of cables, etc and this way they can prevent a possible start of a fire due to the overheating of electrical installations or equipment.

Overhead multispectral inspection by helicopter

Overhead inspection by helicopters is an advanced inspection used particularly in remote and non accessible areas, as well as in very long Overhead Power Lines.

With the help of the high performance equipment mounted on the gyro-stabilized platform of helicopter we can carry-out high precision inspections in the visible spectrum, in infrared spectrum – thermal vision and ultraviolet spectrum – corona inspection.

The gyro-stabilization system ensure stable video recording, without vibrations, and the Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) has a positioning accuracy less than 1m.

The purpose of the multispectral inspection is to identify, emphasize, assess the electrical and mechanical defects of the Overhead Power Lines, insulators, high voltage pillars, transformer stations, analysis of the access ways and of vegetation, mapping.

The operators of the equipment are certified according to the national and international standards. The multispectral inspection reports are accompanied by high resolution video and photo, analysis and recommendations in order to remedy the eventual non conformities.
